Yakima, WA – Nestled in the heart of Washington's scenic Yakima Valley, Yakima offers an exceptional quality of life with over 300 days of sunshine each year, stunning mountain views, award-winning wineries, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Whether you enjoy hiking, skiing, biking, fishing, wine tasting, or simply spending time outdoors, Yakima provides endless opportunities to enjoy life outside of veterinary medicine—all while maintaining a lower cost of living than many Pacific Northwest cities.

Join a Practice Where Relationships, Mentorship, and Quality Medicine Matter

Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) to join our collaborative and compassionate team in Yakima, Washington. We're looking for a veterinarian who values exceptional client communication, enjoys building long-term relationships with pet owners, and finds fulfillment in both medical and surgical case management.

Whether you're an experienced veterinarian seeking a supportive, team-oriented environment or a new graduate looking for structured mentorship, you'll find opportunities to grow your career while practicing high-quality companion animal medicine.

Our mission is simple: provide exceptional veterinary care with compassion, client education, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Why Veterinarians Choose Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic

We believe educating pet owners is one of the most important services we provide, empowering families to make informed decisions about their pets' health.

Dentistry-Focused Practice

Dentistry is one of our clinical passions. In addition to preventive dental care and routine cleanings, our team performs advanced dental procedures and works closely with clients to improve the long-term health and comfort of their pets.

We are proud to be the only Silver Certified Cat Friendly Practice in Yakima County, creating a low-stress environment for feline patients and their families while advancing the standard of feline medicine in our community.

A Yakima native and Washington State University graduate, Dr. Reed has spent the past decade practicing high-quality small animal medicine while developing a reputation for outstanding client communication and patient care. In a unique full-circle moment, Dr. Reed actually began her veterinary journey as a kennel attendant at Terrace Heights more than 20 years ago.

Her Leadership Philosophy

Dr. Reed believes exceptional medicine starts with exceptional people. She leads through clear communication, empathy, accountability, and collaboration, fostering a workplace where team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.
