What's Exciting About The Role
We are seeking a Sales Manager, Strategic Clients based in Israel to own and grow relationships with Verifone's most important retail-sector accounts. This role will work closely with Product Management, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Marketing to deliver tailored payment solutions that meet the evolving needs of large retail merchants.
This position sits at the core of Verifone's Retail Division, providing software solutions from point of sale to the head office (HQ of retails chains), managing comprehensive end-to-end solutions for all the retail branches and stores, where the deals and relationships this role manages directly impact customer retention, transaction volume, and revenue growth across the retail vertical. The successful candidate will build, manage, and expand a portfolio of strategic retail accounts that must perform reliably under competitive market pressure, complex procurement cycles, and evolving retail technology needs.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, key account management, or strategic account management, ideally within payments, fintech, or retail technology
- Proven track record of managing and growing complex, high-value client relationships
- Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics — POS systems, payment processing, or omnichannel commerce (especially fashion and non-food)
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage C-level retail executives
- Fluent Hebrew (written and spoken)
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline and account management
- Ability to manage long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and coordinate internal cross-functional teams
- Strong commercial acumen — able to build business cases, pricing proposals, and account growth plans
Bonus Skills and Experience
- Prior experience selling directly to retail chains (fashion and non-food industry) or large merchant groups
- Familiarity with payment terminals, gateways, or embedded finance solutions
- Experience with contract negotiation for enterprise-level agreements
- Fluent in English
