Are you a veterinary student seeking real-world, hands-on experience? Our Veterinary Externship Program provides an unparalleled opportunity to work alongside licensed veterinarians and skilled technicians in a fast-paced, high-quality clinical environment. Gain valuable skills in patient care, diagnostics, and client communication while building your professional network in the veterinary field.
What You’ll Do
As an extern, you’ll:
- Assist in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal species.
- Observe and participate in medical procedures, surgeries, and dental cleanings.
- Conduct laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic tasks.
- Practice effective communication skills with pet owners and clients.
- Work closely with the veterinary team to understand the daily operations of a busy clinic or hospital.
Key Areas:
Veterinary care, animal health, surgery observation, diagnostics, patient care, client education, clinical learning, team collaboration, small animal medicine, large animal medicine, and exotic animal care (if applicable).

Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.
- Eligibility is for 1-4th years
- Strong interest in clinical practice, surgery, or specialty veterinary fields.
