About the role

As a Business Development Representative at Cast AI, you'll be on the front lines of pipeline generation for our APAC business. Your mission is to identify high-value accounts, engage technical and business buyers, and create meaningful first conversations that develop into qualified sales opportunities.

You'll work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and the broader global BDR organization to execute territory strategies, test new messaging, and build predictable pipeline across the region.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys prospecting, learning complex technology, experimenting with new approaches, and taking ownership of their results.

Requirements:

Demonstrated success in business development, sales development, or a similar prospecting-focused role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different personas.
Proven ability to execute cold outbound prospecting and conduct thoughtful account research.
Ability to understand and communicate the value of complex technical products.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple accounts and follow-up activities.
A self-directed, results-oriented approach with the persistence to work through rejection and ambiguity.
Ability to take ownership of a book of business and clearly articulate your pipeline-generation strategy.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize activities that drive pipeline.
Willingness to actively seek feedback, learn quickly, and continuously improve.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving technology environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers across APAC and global time zones.

Nice to Have

Experience selling to DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud, Infrastructure, or Engineering personas.
Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
Experience working in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, developer tools, or another technical B2B technology environment.
Basic understanding of Kubernetes, containers, or cloud-native infrastructure.
Experience using AI-powered sales or productivity tools.
Experience working across APAC markets.
Additional language skills relevant to APAC markets.

Responsibilities:

Research and prospect target accounts using tools such as LinkedIn, Clay, Apollo, and other prospecting platforms.
Build and execute personalized outbound campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn.
Engage decision-makers and influencers across engineering, DevOps, platform, cloud, and infrastructure teams.
Partner with Account Executives to develop territory plans, prioritize accounts, and align on ideal customer profiles.
Build and manage a book of business, taking ownership of account strategy and pipeline generation.
Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline hygiene, activity tracking, and follow-up.
Experiment with messaging, subject lines, cadences, personas, and value propositions to continuously improve conversion.
Leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to improve research, personalization, productivity, and prospecting effectiveness.
Participate in enablement sessions to strengthen your knowledge of Cast AI's products, use cases, competitors, and sales process.
Partner with Marketing on regional campaigns, events, and other pipeline-generation initiatives.
Stay current on product updates and industry trends to ensure outreach is relevant and timely.
Consistently execute against pipeline-generation goals and performance expectations.
