This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.
SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Mobile Threat Analyst to support the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.
This position is located in Arlington, VA and will be onsite 5 days a week. No hybrid/telework allowed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic examinations of mobile devices (e.g., Android and iOS phones), including full physical, logical, and file-system acquisitions.
- Perform mobile application assessments to analyze behavior, identifying malicious code, unauthorized data exfiltration, privacy risks, and communication patterns within installed applications.
- Perform consolidated and comprehensive information and intelligence analysis of mobile threat data obtained from classified, proprietary, and open-source resources to provide awareness to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze and report on unique attack vectors, emerging cyber threats, and current trends used by malicious actors targeting mobile ecosystems.
- Assess the cyber threat environment for U.S. missions worldwide.
- Ensure that forensic community accepted principles and practices are applied throughout the entire lifecycle of the analysis.
- Utilize industry-accepted forensic tools to perform analysis, including but not limited to Cellebrite, Magnet, and other commercial and open-source forensic and app-analysis software.
- Collaborate with other forensic analysts, law enforcement officers, and legal experts to identify and recommend methods and procedures for recovery, preservation, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence.
- Travel to domestic and overseas locations to provide operational briefings and threat awareness.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; Minimum of 7 years with a Masters degree; or 4 years with PhD.
- An additional 4 years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
- Possess one of the following certifications:
- CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CHFI, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CySA+, GCED, GCFA, GCIH, SCYBER.
- Demonstrated experience performing mobile device forensic acquisitions.
- Experience analyzing forensic images, mobile applications, and data for indicators of compromise (IOCs), root cause, and other relevant artifacts pertaining to compromised activity.
- Demonstrated critical, creative, and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience developing technically detailed reports that translate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Travel to domestic and overseas locations to provide operational briefings and threat awareness.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- An active Top Secret security clearance.
- Additional ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000
The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package.
Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
