In the capital of the world, medical prestige shouldn't come at the cost of your sanity. Skilled Wound Care is seeking motivated physicians to lead wound care initiatives within Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs.
Whether you are a surgeon tired of the blocked-time politics of a midtown OR, or an IM/FM physician looking to escape the relentless "volume-based" grind of a massive city health system, we offer clinical autonomy without the soul-crushing bureaucracy.

- A Schedule With Clinical Efficiency: No nights, no weekends, and zero "on-call" responsibilities. When you finish your rounds, you are truly off—giving you time for the city's world-class dining, theater, and culture.
- Efficiency Over "Epic" Fatigue: Our custom software is built to be fast and intuitive. We prioritize getting you out of the EHR and back to your life in the city.
- Clinical Sovereignty: Manhattan systems are notoriously top-heavy. With us, you are the expert on the ground. You manage patient outcomes based on your clinical judgment, not a 20-person committee.
- Geographic Focus: We work to minimize your transit time across the boroughs, allowing for a more predictable daily flow in a city known for its logistical hurdles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Average Annual Earnings: $250,000 – $300,000 (No earning cap as an Independent Contractor).
- High Achievers: Top performers earn $400,000+ via performance bonuses.
- Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay + quarterly bonus programs—a structure designed for the high-achiever.
- Expert Training: We bridge the gap between your current specialty and wound care with 36 hours of company-provided CME, workshops, and specialized training.
Meaningful Clinical Work
Utilize the latest advancements in wound healing to change lives in diverse NYC communities:
- Surgical Debridement and other bedside procedures.
- Advanced Dressings and specialized wound protocols.
- Collaborative Care within the post-acute setting.
Requirements
- Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Clear/Unrestricted New York Medical License: (Or eligibility to obtain one).
- DEA License (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Completed Residency: Must have successfully completed an accredited residency program
- Open Background: We welcome Surgeons of all backgrounds, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive specialty training.
