Our Elementary School Part-Time After School Teacher
Our Elementary School, admiringly named “Dos Amigos”, at School in the Square is a Dual Language PreK-5th grade program dedicated to providing each student with the tools and support to become lifelong learners. Dos Amigos provides a creative, bilingual immersion program alongside a focus on SEL.
We are looking for dedicated, mission-aligned part-time after school assistant teachers who have a passion for bilingual immersion. Reporting to our After School Manager and in collaboration with a diverse and committed Elementary School Staff, you will assist in a range of classes and activities while supporting the overall well-being of students attending the After School program. If you have experience working with children in a camp, school or After School setting and are passionate about Educational Enrichment, Sports & Art please apply to bring your talent to life working as an After School team member at School In The Square Dos Amigos. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:15 PM - 5:45 PM and Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 5:45 PM
- Provide help with arrival and dismissal of students
- Supervise the transition of all students to their daily activities
- Help with Attendance and constant supervision of all grade level students
- Organization, dispersing and collection of supplies
- Helping with the distribution and cleaning up of snack and daily used spaces
- Supervision of students during after care programs
- Working alongside and reporting to both the after school manager and coordinator daily
- Supervising students transitions outdoors to local parks
- Supervising appropriate usage of technology including but not limited to conduct, treatment of supplies and locking up of equipment
- Ability to work with other adults in a lead or assistant teacher role
- Coverage of classes when absences occur

- Demonstrate teamwork, actively modeling cooperation and helpfulness for students
- Engage in respectful and critical dialogue to contribute to the school’s evolution.
- Maintain optimism and flexibility
- Follow school protocols as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual and Employee Handbook.
- Help build, expand and improve programming
- Participate in team building and create a sense of community with your colleagues
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred

The pay rate for this role is $25.00 an hour based on the role. This is a part time role and does not include benefits.
