As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Fruit and Vegetable Quality Control Inspector to help us ensure that we deliver the highest quality products for our customers each day! We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to ensure our customers receive only the freshest produce. In this vital role, you’ll conduct rigorous quality checks throughout the supply chain, maintaining exceptional standards of product quality with a keen eye for detail. Tricks of the trade

Inspecting fruits and vegetables: Conduct quality checks on incoming and stock fruit & vegetable products, assessing freshness, defects, shelf life and compliance with Picnic specifications.

Making quality decisions: Assess whether products can be accepted, rejected or require follow-up actions, based on objective quality criteria, Picnic specifications and customer impact.

Investigating quality issues: Investigate issues related to fresh produce quality, labelling, packaging and customer complaints to understand root causes and prevent recurrence.

Collaborating with stakeholders: Work closely with Buying, Supply Chain and Operations to identify quality risks and ensure our fresh products meet customer expectations.

Ensuring compliance: Verify proper handling, food safety requirements and cold chain standards throughout the supply chain.
We're looking for

Ability to work independently and make consistent quality decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and a passion for fresh fruit and vegetables.
- Available for the following shifts (week days and weekends included); 06:00–15:00, 09:00–18:00 (most common), 14:30–23:30.

Good level of English; Dutch is a plus.

1+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance or fresh produce operations is desired.

A driving licence and access to your own car.

Background related to food, agriculture, horticulture or a relevant field is a plus.
