Description

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an Advanced Social Worker to join Liverpool City Council's Fostering Support and Supervision Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fostering social worker to provide ongoing support, guidance, and supervision to foster carers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver safe, stable, and nurturing placements for children and young people. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of fostering practice while promoting positive outcomes for children in care.

What will your responsibilities be?

As an Advanced Social Worker, you will provide ongoing support, supervision, and professional guidance to foster carers, ensuring they meet the requirements of the Fostering Regulations 2011 and National Minimum Fostering Standards. You will complete regular supervision visits, identify training and development needs, and carry out annual foster carer reviews to maintain high-quality fostering placements.

You will make informed, child-centred decisions within complex cases, ensuring children and young people remain safe and achieve the best possible outcomes in their foster placements. You will manage your workload effectively, producing high-quality work within agreed timescales while working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to safeguard children and support foster families.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have;

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold a full UK license.
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
