What You'll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of two tasked with delivering benefits for Flatiron in the US, UK, Germany & Japan, in support of our employee base, and with an emphasis on attracting, and retaining employees. In addition you will:

  • Develop, deliver, and communicate comprehensive, competitive benefits programs in alignment with the company’s objectives, initiatives, and budget guidelines - including employee benefits administration, leave management, and benefits system administration in Workday.
  • Partner with our centralized HR operations team to provide support for our employees and our People Team as it relates to plan and program questions. Ensure support provided is scalable, but still human-centered.
  • Oversee the annual benefits open enrollment process, including partnering and negotiating with external vendors, and preparing communications for employees.
  • Manage external vendors responsible for supporting and administering our benefits programs (401k, leaves, medical/dental/vision). Responsible for ensuring a consistent level of service and ensuring that budget associated with vendor spend aligns with level of service.
  • Lead eligibility and integration audits, partner with HRIS on integration builds and refinement within Workday and ensure alignment with employee facing communications and process documents.
  • Responsible for the leave management program, administration, documentation, and communication with employees.
  • Lead global benefits compliance; Maintain global benefits compliance calendar, complete required filings, provide reports and documentation

Who You Are

You're a kind, passionate problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you’re a strategic team player who can manage work to desired outcomes, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with 5-7 years experience working in HR and Benefits.

  • You have expertise in benefits plan design, benchmarking, and understanding of all pertinent regulations in the US, as well as internationally
  • You have worked in a company that used Workday as its HRIS. You have demonstrated experience in managing HR processes and programs and coordinating across an HRIS
  • You are a highly organized person with project management abilities, and excellent attention to detail; you thrive on getting things done both quickly and accurately
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and relationship-building skills across all levels of stakeholders in a highly cross-functional and collaborative environment, including demonstrating an ability to influence without authority
  • You are driven by a sense of accountability, including assuming ownership for achieving personal results and collective team goals
  • You enjoy a “roll up your sleeves” environment and are comfortable problem solving and working with ambiguity in a fast-paced, complex and challenging workplace
  • You have proven data analysis skills and the ability to synthesize and visualize key findings from large amounts of information to then leverage data driven decision making

Where You’ll Work

In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and 3 office days set by you and your team. For more information on our approach to hybrid work, please visit the how we work website.
