The Business Analyst, SSW, works closely with SSW leadership, Enterprise Architecture, and cross-functional partners to support and enhance core SSW platforms and processes. This role serves as both a functional system owner and operational partner, balancing day-to-day system administration with ongoing workflow and reporting improvements.

Successful candidates will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within enterprise systems while helping the business better leverage data and workflows to drive operational efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Business Analyst, Safe and Smart Workplace (SSW), will work closely with SSW leadership and cross-functional partners to support the following areas of responsibility:

Systems Ownership & Operational Support

  • Own day-to-day operation, configuration, and administration of SSW systems and platforms.
  • Maintain workflows, approval structures, data configurations, and overall system usability.
  • Perform configuration changes and minor enhancements; escalate complex technical needs to the Global Technology team.
  • Provide documentation, training, and user support.

Workflow Optimization (Warehouse, Inventory & Field Services)

  • Support and improve workflows across inventory, warehouse, and field service operations.
  • Reduce administrative friction and improve visibility into operational processes and handoffs.
  • Support and optimize platforms such as ConnectWise, D-Tools, Microsoft Dynamics and related tools.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Partner with Business Intelligence to develop and maintain dashboards and reporting (e.g., Power BI).
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support planning and performance tracking through structured reporting.

Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Work with stakeholders to understand processes, identify gaps, and define requirements.
  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements for system and reporting enhancements.
  • Support testing, implementation, and adoption of changes.
  • Document workflows, data definitions, and reporting logic to improve consistency and transparency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with SSW, Finance, IT, Operations, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
  • Serve as a functional subject-matter resource for SSW systems and workflows.
  • Support change management and user enablement efforts.

Travel Expectations

  • Occasional, pre-planned travel may be required for meetings, training, or company events.

Education & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Operations, or Systems-related roles.
  • Experience supporting or administering enterprise business systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to deliver system or process improvements.

Desired Experience

  • Experience in an IT reseller, technology services, or distribution environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar platforms.
  • Experience with inventory, warehouse, or field service systems.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).

Skills & Abilities

  • Analytical Thinking – able to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Systems Ownership – comfortable administering business applications, including configuration and user support.
  • Attention to Detail – strong focus on data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Communication & Collaboration – effective partner to leadership and cross-functional teams.
