This role is responsible for the administration and ongoing delivery of employee benefits programs and processes. The role performs benefits administration activities, resolves employee and vendor issues, supports recurring benefits cycles and projects, and partners with internal teams to maintain accurate benefits data and processes.

What you'll do

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement programs, leave programs, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Process and validate benefits enrollments, eligibility changes, employee data updates, benefit changes, and other routine and non-routine benefits transactions.
  • Respond to employee benefits questions and resolve issues by researching plan provisions, policies, employee records, and vendor information and coordinating with appropriate partners when necessary.
  • Manage assigned benefits processes and activities, ensuring work is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with established procedures and requirements.
  • Support benefits renewal activities by preparing and validating data, coordinating information with vendors and internal stakeholders, reviewing plan materials, and assisting with implementation activities.
  • Execute annual benefits activities, including open enrollment, plan changes, system testing, employee communications, enrollment validation, and post-enrollment reconciliation.
  • Review benefits eligibility, enrollment, deductions, and employee data; identify discrepancies and make or coordinate necessary corrections.
  • Perform routine benefits reconciliations and audits, research discrepancies, and work with appropriate partners to resolve identified issues.
  • Partner with Payroll to review benefit deductions, research discrepancies, process corrections, and support reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain benefits information within applicable HR and benefits systems, including employee records, enrollment data, plan information, and other required benefits data.
  • Support system testing and data validation related to benefits configuration changes, system enhancements, integrations, or annual program updates.
  • Work directly with benefits vendors to resolve employee issues, coordinate data or documentation, review reports, and support ongoing program administration.
  • Prepare and review benefits reports and data related to enrollment, participation, costs, employee inquiries, and other operational activities.
  • Maintain benefits procedures, process documentation, employee resources, forms, and administrative materials.
  • Identify process issues and recommend improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, compliance, or the employee experience.
  • Support benefits projects and process improvement initiatives by completing assigned analysis, data preparation, testing, documentation, implementation, and follow-up activities.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable benefits resource to employees, managers, People team partners, and other stakeholders regarding established benefits programs, policies, and processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to support business needs.

What you have

  • 5+ years in related role or experience.
    • Actual experience may vary depending on role complexity, geography, and internal development opportunities or a comparable mix of training, education, and experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience administering employee benefits programs within a corporate environment.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits practices, regulations, compliance requirements, and plan administration.
  • Experience processing and validating benefits transactions, employee data, eligibility, and enrollment information.
  • Experience performing benefits reconciliations, audits, reporting, or data validation.
  • Experience working with benefits vendors and internal partners such as Payroll and HR Technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to independently research and resolve benefits issues within established policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting open enrollment, benefits renewals, implementations, or other recurring benefits cycles.
  • Experience working with benefits administration platforms or HRIS technologies.
  • Experience with benefits reporting and data analysis.
  • Professional certification related to employee benefits or human resources.
