ABOUT THE JOB

As an Inventory Specialist, you will join our Mission Readiness team at the Santa Ana, CA office. The Mission Readiness team has a valuable impact on Anduril's business and mission, responsible for supporting our production and business growth through material management and inventory flow. In this role you own the accuracy and integrity of physical and system inventory — running cycle counts, reconciling against the warehouse management system, and driving discrepancies to root cause before they reach the production floor. The right person for this role can demonstrate strong ownership and the ability to solve operational challenges with creative solutions in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. This person will be flexible to provide support wherever needed to ensure material moves accurately and on schedule under stringent quality standards.

          WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own inventory accuracy across physical and system records at the Santa Ana and/or Costa Mesa locations
  • Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled cycle counts, and support wall-to-wall and annual physical inventory counts
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive them to root cause using system transactions, documentation, and physical investigation
  • Reconcile physical inventory against WMS/ERP records and execute inventory adjustments in accordance with established controls and approval processes
  • Execute accurate inventory transactions — bin-to-bin movements, transfers, reservations, and unreservations — and ensure every material movement is supported by the appropriate Transfer Order (TO), work order, or other required documentation
  • Trace material movements from receiving through storage, WIP, deployment, and outbound activity
  • Maintain accurate bin locations, material master information, and clearly defined inventory locations
  • Identify misplaced, unidentified, excess, damaged, or otherwise discrepant material and resolve it with the responsible team
  • Support material segregation and control for high-value, sensitive, or deployment-critical inventory
  • Support receiving, put-away, picking, staging, shipping, and material movement activities as needed
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment when properly trained and authorized
  • Partner with Materials, Production, Deployment, and Supply Chain to develop inventory control procedures, standard work, and KPI reporting
  • Identify system and process gaps that create inventory inaccuracies or operational inefficiencies, and drive corrective action
  • Escalate significant inventory risks or trends to leadership

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

  • 2+ years in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or an equivalent role
  • Experience performing cycle counts and investigating inventory discrepancies
  • Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP, or equivalent inventory control tooling
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to be onsite, local to Santa Ana, CA or Costa Mesa, CA

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years forklift experience and license
  • Experience working in the defense/aerospace industry
  • Familiarity with Odoo, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP/WMS platforms
  • Familiarity with inventory management through lot/serial/batch tracking
  • Experience with barcode scanners and warehouse technology
  • Experience developing or improving warehouse SOPs and standard work
  • Experience working in a high-volume or high-value inventory environment
  • Strong Excel/data analysis skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Able to adapt in fast-paced environments and flex as work shifts can be subject to change depending on business need
