Senior Software Engineer – Access Control

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing robust access control solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical excellence across our platform. Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack software solutions across a variety of platforms and technologies.
- Lead technical projects, making architectural decisions and ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Take part in the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Balance speed and robustness—know when to iterate quickly and when to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, device engineers, and other software teams.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by bringing new ideas and technical improvements to the table.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills; experience with C#/.NET is a plus.
- Experience with database design and development (SQL Server preferred).
- Proficiency in developing backend services and APIs.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Ember.js preferred).
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging technologies (Kafka is a plus).
- Experience working with IoT, hardware, or embedded systems is a plus.

The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
