About the role:

The Manager, Risk, Disputes at 8am serves a key role in ensuring our Dispute Defense team is consistently achieving positive results for our clients and keeping our company’s exposure to chargeback risk and fraud low.

What you'll do:

Manages and monitors the Dispute Defense team in order to uphold our excellent client service.
Works with our clients to help them dispute chargebacks.
Performs collections when our customer loses a chargeback case.
Ensure all chargeback responses are submitted within industry timeframes.
Manage workload of the team.
Reporting on win percentages.
Helps the team monitor chargeback ratios and manage chargeback reduction plans.
Collaborative work with our processing partners on vision and process alignment.
Focus on evolving processes and eliminating manual workflows.

About you:

Bachelor's Degree required.
“Can-do” attitude that is always willing to go above and beyond their everyday tasks.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to excel in a collaborative, team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Office Suite of tools (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs).
AI forward in automating process work flows.
Strong background and understanding of the chargeback process and industry regulations.
Experience in managing a high functioning team.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.

Additional Information
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. The salary range for performing this role outside of the US / Austin / California may differ. 8am is committed to offering competitive, fair and commensurate compensation and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and education.
